VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – After suffering a torn Achilles while working out, Clinton, Mississippi native Cam Akers could miss his entire second season with Los Angeles Rams.

Akers injury and diagnosis was confirmed on Tuesday while the team soon released the news to the public.

The injury could put the former Florida State University star out for the entire year. He was predicted to be a impact player for the Rams.

Akers had a breakout season as a rookie in 2019 where he averaged over 100 yards per game in the final seven games that year.

How long Akers will officially sit out has not been determined but the injury is a definite big blow to the Rams organization.
