Claiborne County schools will begin fall semester with distance-only learning

Claiborne County schools will begin the fall semester with an all distance-learning model.

Because of the increase in COVID-19 cases in the county, the district has moved the school start date to Aug. 17 and will provide distance-learning only through Sept. 4.

The district will evaluate the situation before Sept. 4 to determine whether it’s safe for children to return to classrooms.
