Ebony Owens’ body has been recovered from the Big Black River

The search for the body of Ebony Owens has come to an end after she was found in the Big Black River on Saturday.

“The search for Ebony Owens has concluded, Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said. The body recovered from the Big Black River this evening has been confirmed to be her. Thanks to all partners involved in the days long search. The investigation is ongoing.”

Authorities have been searching the Big Black River for over a week now after her husband, Michael Owens, confessed to killing her and dumping her body in the water. He has been charged with her murder along with additional charges of sexual battery of a minor.
