Hossley Street home heavily damaged by fire

Around 1:10pm, Vicksburg firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 600 block of Hossley Street just off Mission 66.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a home heavily involved in the fire. All occupants had safely evacuated the structure.
Vicksburg Fire Department Engine 6, Ladder 3, Fire Medic 20, and Rescue along with Fire Medic 20 and Battalion 1 are on scene battling the blaze.
The home appears to be a total loss. The cause and origin of the fire will be investigated after the fire is fully extinguished.
