Krewe of Porches postponed due to dangerous roads

The Krewe of Porches Mardi Gras event scheduled for today at Eagle Lake has been postponed until March 13, the Saturday following St. Patrick’s Day.

Michele Connelly, one of the event’s organizers, said the COVID-19 safe version of a Mardi Gras parade originally slated to happen today, has been rescheduled due to dangerous road conditions impacting the south this weekend.

Organizers hope everyone understands their desire to keep our community safe at this time and invite everyone back for a family-fun event in March.
