Former Auburn University head football coach Pat Dye tested positive for COVID-19 when he was hospitalized Wednesday in Atlanta for kidney-related problems. He is 80.

Dye’s family told CBS 42 that he has been not had any symptoms of the virus.

After spending eight years at East Carolina University and one season at Wyoming, Dye took over as Auburn head coach prior to the 1981 season.
