Legendary Auburn coach Pat Dye diagnosed with COVID-19

Former Auburn University head football coach Pat Dye tested positive for COVID-19 when he was hospitalized Wednesday in Atlanta for kidney-related problems. He is 80.
Dye’s family told CBS 42 that he has been not had any symptoms of the virus.
After spending eight years at East Carolina University and one season at Wyoming, Dye took over as Auburn head coach prior to the 1981 season. After going 5-6 that year, Dye would lead the Tigers to four SEC Championships and was named the conference’s Coach of the Year on three separate occasions.
In the Iron Bowl, Dye has a record of 6-6 that included a four-game win streak over Alabama’s Crimson Tide from 1986 to 1989.
Dye was the head coach at Auburn from 1981 to 1992. He ended his head-coaching career with a 153-62-5 record.
