Mississippi’s COVID-19 cases at 13,458, deaths at 635

The Mississippi State Department of health reports 206 new COVID-19 cases statewide Monday, bringing the total cumulative confirmed cases since March 11 in Mississippi to 13,458.
MSDH also reports 10 additional Mississippians died of COVID- 19, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 635.
Updated statistics for Warren County are not available at this time. The Vicksburg Daily News will provide them as soon as possible.
Deaths and new cases were reported as of 6 p.m. Sunday, May 24. MSDH reports new statistics on the COVID-19 coronavirus each morning based on the previous day’s testing and death reports.
MSDH is reporting the number of estimated COVID-19 cases presumed recovered in Mississippi. That number is 7,681 through Sunday, May 17. This figure will be updated weekly.
Based on the number of cases reported Monday, May 3, in Warren County (83), the estimated number of people presumed recovered is 77, with 73 active cases.
As of Monday, 421 Mississippians are hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and another 145 patients are hospitalized with suspected infections. Of those hospitalized, 152 are critically ill and in intensive care units and 94 are on ventilators.
