MSDH reports 7,971 new COVID-19 cases, 82 deaths

MSDH reported 7,971 new COVID-19 positive test results reported to MSDH for the three-day period August 27 through August 29 as of 3 p.m. Sunday, along with 82 deaths.  Four of those deaths were individuals in Warren County.

Although case numbers are still remarkably high, they also seem to be on a downward trend.

98% of cases occur in unvaccinated individuals.  Fully vaccinated individuals represent 1.5% of all cases in individuals age 40-49, 2.2% of all cases in individuals 50-64 and 4.3% of all cases in individuals over the age of 65.

The most recent vaccination status report shows that 44% of Warren County is fully vaccinated and 52% have received at least one dose, totaling 42,865 doses administered to residents of Warren County.
