Six Vicksburg police investigators positive for COVID-19

The Vicksburg Police Department now has six officers who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier this week, the department reported that three officers were positive. Since then, tests confirmed that another three officers are positive, said Capt. Mike Bryant.

All six of the officers are investigators with the department, and they are quarantined at home for at least 14 days.

The rest of the department is wearing masks and practicing social distancing, Bryant said. Anyone doing business with police at the station should wear a mask.
