A vehicle fire in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at the intersection of Clay Street and Mission 66 resulted in a temporary closure of the restaurant Monday morning.

Just after 11 a.m., Monday, April 12, Vicksburg Fire Department responded to extinguish a sedan that had caught fire.  No one was injured in the incident, but the vehicle appears to be a total loss.

It is unclear at this time the cause of the fire.

The restaurant will re-open as soon as officials determine that the fire is completely extinguished and the environment is safe for other patrons.
