Moody’s Investor Service has restored Vicksburg’s bond rating, according to a press release issued by the City on Thursday. The City’s A2 bond rating was reinstated following a review of its economic and financial metrics, along with the finalization of the latest financial audit.

Back in November, Vicksburg was notified that its bond rating had been withdrawn by Moody’s Investor Service. However, the City promptly took steps to address the matter.

Moody’s Investor Service provides investors with credit ratings, risk analysis, and research for companies, bonds, and governmental bodies. The restoration of Vicksburg’s bond rating is a positive development for the City and reflects its commitment to sound financial practices.
