Georgia man arrested for Best Western shooting

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested Justin Lawrence, 22, of Acworth, Georgia, Saturday, Aug. 1, in connection with a Friday night shooting at the Best Western Motel, 2445 North Frontage Road.

He was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Lawrence had his first court appearance Monday, Aug. 3, in Vicksburg Municipal Court. Judge Angela Carpenter bound Lawrence over to the Warren County grand jury on a $500,000 bond.
