Vicksburg woman convicted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter in 1985 denied parole
Last updated:
The parole request of a woman from Vicksburg, who was convicted of murdering her child in 1985, has been denied.
Lisa Crevitt, 58, will remain incarcerated for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Jennifer Nicole Crevitt, which took place in 1985.
After falsely claiming that her child had been abducted from a shopping mall, Lisa later confessed to throwing her 2-year-old daughter, Jennifer Nicole Crevitt, into the river canal near the U.S. Highway 61 bridge. Her admission came after the discovery of the toddler’s body three days after she went missing. Lisa admitted to taking LSD prior to committing the crime.
Back in January, Justice Court Judge Jeff Crevitt, Lisa Crevitt’s ex-husband, took to social media to urge people to write letters to the parole board and request that Lisa’s release be denied.

Lisa will not have another hearing for another three years.
